Jason Goodman grew up in Westport, CT, where red houses with white trim and the mailboxes belie a strong Scandinavian influence. He graduated from Staples High School where he served on “Inklings” - the school newspaper - and hosted a highly rated weekly call-in public affairs radio talk show on NPR affiliate 91.1 WSHU-FM and 90.3 WWPT-FM. He later became the News Director at AM-540 WMRE and overnight Engineer at AM-750 WSB in Atlanta. After additional studies at the University of Connecticut he joined the staff at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT. While studying Psychology at Emory University he met Dennis Carlson, Director of University Hospitality, and has since been very involved with the Scandinavian community serving as Secretary of the Scandinavian Festival and within various departments of SAFG. Maria Kransmo, Past President of SAFG, named him Editor of “Insights” in 2009.
